Learn how to check and replace the crank seal on a Victa Powertorque engine.
A damaged crank seal will cause the mower to either not start, run rough, surge or only run for a short period of time.
Tools/Parts Required
- Phillips Head Screwdriver
- Socket Wrench - 13mm Socket
- Replacement Crank Seal If Required
Step 1.
First turn off the fuel and remove the fuel line.
Step 2
Then remove the three Phillips head screws holding down the head cowl, once removed lift and place aside.
Step 3
Remove the three 13mm bolts and gently lift starter out, clean and inspect seal while making sure to keep dirt and grime out of the crankcase.
Step 4
Replace seal if necessary, then reassemble.
